Yes, It's been a while!
Gabor will be back under our roof for a few days and I'm excited to work with him a bit. He has been with his puppy raising family in Johnston, Iowa and has been doing quite well :) Pictures to be posted soon...

First Road Trip : Kentucky
First bath after leaving the breeder's, too. Gabor keeps falling asleep before he is done with his baby food filled Planet Dog toy. Which means he ends up sleeping in baby food as it melts, waking up in the morning a little on the sticky side. He's had baby food in his ears, on his neck, near his eyes....really, it is just a mess. Not necessarily needing a reason for a bath, but taking full advantage of this one, Gabor is now a clean, sweet smelling boy, ready for interstate travel.

So much time has passed!
Gabor is doing very, very well.
Among this month's achievements:
- Sit on cue
- Down on cue
- Twirl on cue
- Crating quietly
- Potty trained!
Gabor finished his Puppy Life class at Canine Craze with honors; he is now in Second Step. Puppy Gym will start at the end of June, after Gabor settles in with his puppy-raising family.
Between now and then, the pup will be traveling to Kentucky to meet Todd and Angie. Hopefully, Todd and Angie will take a few minutes to share with us why they chose the name Gabor.

Great Things About Gabor!
- He's not a "chewer"
- He's never eliminated in his crate
- He only eliminates in one place in the yard
- He's a work-a-holic! He'll initiate a training session on his own!
- He enjoys other dogs, but prefers people
- He's sleeping through the night
- He's learning his release word "OK" and doesn't fly out of the kennel like the devil is after him

No crying in the crate!
YIPPEE! Gabor did need to go out in the middle of the night, but settled down nicely after that. I'm not even sure he woke Eric up. Additionally, Gabor has not yet eliminated in his crate. I'd say that was a successful weekend all the way around.
We've taken off leash walks around the neighborhood and Gabor much prefers to stay close to me than explore the big wide open. Maybe a little too close as he gives new meaning to "under foot." But he'll figure that out soon enough.
Yet there is more: we have captured sit and down and Gabor hand targets both hands. Those are good things considering classes start on Wednesday night with Canine Craze.
Our first shaping project, spin, should be complete by the end of next weekend.
Video is coming soon! The video editing process may take a few days.
